Zentonil Advanced 400 is a nutritional supplement for supporting normal liver function in dogs. Zentonil Advanced contains a rich source of S-Adenosylmethionine (SAM-e) which has a key role in the formation of one of the liver's main antioxidants, Glutathione. Glutathione deficiency is commonplace in dogs with impaired liver function and this deficiency can directly result in accelerating further liver damage by allowing oxygen free-radicals to damage cell membranes and destroy liver cells.
Zentonil Advanced tablets are ‘enteric coated’ to allow them to pass through the stomach and into the small intestine without the SAM-e being broken down by stomach acid. Unlike most enteric coated tablets however, the active ingredients of Zentonil Advanced are themselves microencapsulation so the tablet can be divided, crushed or chewed without losing its enteric coating. As tablets can be split, administration is more accurate. The ability to split larger tablets also proves more cost effective.
Zentonil Advanced also contains silybin, the extract of Milk Thistle, which is treated to increase its effective availability.
Also available in a formulation for cats.
Dose once daily on an empty stomach, one hour before or two hours after food
