Metacam tablets are a prescription medicine containing the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) Meloxicam for the alleviation of inflammation and pain in acute and chronic musculo-skeletal disorders, such as osteoarthritis, in dogs, and for reduction in post operative pain following orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery in dogs and after ovariohysterectomy (spaying) and other soft tissue surgery in cats.

Metacam was first launched for dogs in 1993, and is now licensed in over 40 countries around the world.
Metacam tablets are supplied in child resistant packaging.
Metacam tablets are administered once daily with or without food.
