Doxion 225 - 30 tablets
Doxion is a feed supplement for dogs and cats to assist with their liver function, by helping maintain glutathione levels as well as providing other nutrients important for liver health. The liver is a complex and vital body organ performing a huge number of essential functions, amongst which are the production of hormones, enzymes and proteins. The liver is also responsible for the "detoxification" of substances from the blood stream such as free radicals. The major detoxifier produced by the body is glutathione, the so-called "master anti-oxidant". Good levels of glutathione help maintain a healthy liver in cats and dogs.
Doxion contains S-Adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe) a substance naturally produced by the metabolism of healthy pets. This is absorbed through the small intestine and is then metabolised to the all-important glutathione. The tablets are ‘enteric coated’ to prevent the SAMe from being degraded by stomach acids. For this reason Doxion tablets should be administered whole and unbroken.
Doxion also contains another antioxidant, Milk Thistle, which adds to the beneficial effects of SAMe, plus a range of other micronutrients designed for liver support including Vitamin B complex, Zinc and Amino acids. It is available in three strengths (Doxion 100, Doxion 225 and Doxion 425) of 30 tablets, containing 100mg, 225mg and 425mg SAMe respectively.
